Last night, I dove into Marvel’s Thunderbolts, and wow, this isn’t your typical Avengers lineup. Instead, we get a darker, more complicated crew of antiheroes: Yelena, Bucky, Red Guardian, Ghost, and John Walker, all wrangled by the ever-scheming Valentina. Each of them is dealing with guilt, shame, or the desire to rewrite their story, and that’s where the movie truly shines.
What surprised me most was the emotional depth layered into the action. These aren’t people out to save the world, they’re trying to save themselves. And watching them try (and fail, and try again) was deeply compelling.
