Last night I dove head-first into Wicked: For Good, and I’m still riding the aftermath of Oz’s neon glow and smoke. Chu’s vision fills the screen with color, magic, and heartbreak — but what struck me most was the ache beneath the spectacle. Elphaba and Glinda’s fractured bond, now twisted by fame, fear, and betrayal, hits like a thunderclap.
This film doesn’t just ask which side you’re on — it asks what happens when the line between good and evil gets smudged beneath ambition and propaganda. The performances (Cynthia as Elphaba, Ariana as Glinda) carry that weight with grace and fire. I walked out blinking, my heart half in Emerald City, half somewhere dark and wild, wondering how much of our own world mirrored theirs.
