Midnight Rescue

SEASON'S HEAT:
MIDNIGHT RESCUE

A blizzard. A forced overnight. A kiss that changes everything.

Rescue pilot Grant Bishop thrives on danger, avoiding the silence waiting on the ground. On New Year’s Eve, a blizzard strands him with Harper Smith, a solitary man on a remote mountain station. Trapped in a snow-choked cabin, shared warmth sparks intimacy, and a midnight kiss ignites desire neither expected.

By morning, the storm clears — but the choices they face demand more courage than any rescue ever has. Midnight Rescue is a slow-burning, emotionally charged MM romance about connection, desire, and risk.

Two lonely people find each other unexpectedly. The simmer and sparks are undeniable. Very good book!

A Fate-filled Encounter

It was meant to be a quick drop off flight for Grant, but circumstances meant he had to stay a bit longer and Mother Nature decided to delay him further. Harper was happy when Grant arrived with the part needed, but it just so happens that he needed help to fix it. As Grant’s chance to return home was shattered, it gave him a chance to spend time with Harper, so they could get to know each other, where an off the wall remark turned into an amazingly sensual night for them.

The morning after should have been awkward, but it turned into tension-filled moments where the sparks were on the verge of igniting. Unfortunately, reality cropped into their blissful existence, as Grant was given permission to fly back home, which left Harper longing for more. This cliffhanger leaves the reader with the question asking if Grant and Harper would be able to find a way to merge their complicated lives. I really enjoyed reading this was quick, fun and easy story, that I believe is a great way to wind down from any highly emotional read. You won’t regret reading this book.

Two men connecting on New Year’s Eve

This story quickly puts us in the action. When Grant is flying into a blizzard to deliver a vital part required to keep a generator needed for emergency communication functioning, you feel like you are in the helicopter with him. I had to remember to breathe. You sense Harper’s relief when he finally hears, then sees Grant’s helicopter.

The storm intensifies quickly, grounding Grant until further notice. Trapped together in a small, remote mountain cabin on New Year’s Eve, two lonely men connect. While the storm rages outside, Grant and Harper keep each other warm inside.

I found myself wishing they would be snowed in together much longer than one night. While the story ends, the possibility of more is there. No promises, but truly felt and acknowledged connection. I can see Grant and Harper seeking each other out when it feels right, embarking on new adventures together.

Ryan does such a great job of making weather a character in his stories. I really think I need to read this again during a heatwave in the summer, just to cool off as I’m transported to a cold mountain in the middle of a blizzard.
