Bought for pleasure:
Price of Desire
He paid for a night—but found something worth staying for.
Luke’s life is the picture of success—a thriving business, a sleek penthouse, and a family portrait straight out of a magazine. But beneath the polished exterior lies a man trapped by lonliness.
Enter Evan —a rugged, self-assured escort who offers Luke an escape from the confines of his carefully controlled world. Their connection is electric, impossible to resist. What begins as a fleeting transaction sparks a fire that forces Luke to question everything he thought he knew about intimacy, passion, and his true self. As their paths cross again, Luke must decide if he’s brave enough to embrace the unknown—or if the price of desire is too steep.

Risking Everything for Happiness
Luke had been hiding his true self for years and decided to satiate his desires in a manner that wouldn’t disrupt his regular life, but instead of his dalliance with Evan being a one time gratifying encounter, they found the memories of their time together were so strong, that they couldn’t stay away from each other. Even though the attraction between Luke and Evan was deeply intense, their regular lives created an issue to them being together, which nearly cost them their happiness.
Fortunately, Luke and Evan made the decision to take a chance on exploring a relationship, so they could finally be truly happy. This was a deeply moving romance story, where the characters found a way to explore their fantasies in a safe way, so there would be no impact on their regular lives. You will definitely enjoy reading this book, but I also need to warn you about the erotic degradation element woven into the story.
I received an advanced copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
HOT!
The only ‘issue’ I had with this book (and this has become a common ‘problem’ when reading Ryan’s works. LOL) is that I wish it had been longer! But then again, it’s not that surprising because just like his other books, he has this incredible talent of pulling you in with his brilliant writing, wanting more when you’re done reading the book yet it’ll also leave you satisfied with how the story ended (though I’d still very much like to know what happens to Luke after!). I liked how the book explored suppressed desires and the control you can only muster so much before you can no longer hold everything in. Dominant/submissive dynamics are not my thing but I enjoyed reading this. <333
Range: Sex, Character, Needs and Feelings, then Possibilities.
DAMN! Raw HEAT from the start, torrid. Is this Ryan Moore, whose first story was about masquerade and the masks we wear, flirtation and wit, amusement and possibility leading to a first date; the second tale an age-gap affair, somewhat taboo, with a final sensual/sexual scene between ‘fated’ lovers? This one, though maybe not to everyone’s taste, begins with FIRE. Didn’t say I didn’t like it.
Perhaps I should have expected it, as this is an ‘escort’ tale. Luke, successful, middle-aged, married father of two, has never quite gotten over being ‘taken’ by his college buddy. Restless, the wife and kids distant, he gives in to repressed urges and searches for a dom/sub add. Evan is as described and more than fills Luke’s needs, and has some surprising depths, hinted at in promising dialogue (probably to be explored in Moore’s ‘freebie’ stories).
Again, the author is adept at conversation, and the possibilities between these two is left open ended with room for growth, HFN. Something about Moore’s writing causes me to fall back into reveries of my own trysts, I relate to his words and characters in a personal way. Eyes misted over, but not a tear on my metrosexual cheeks, if I ever had such a connection, I might be different man. Ah, Romance! But I digress. Structure here is interesting, beginning with sex, then character building, and then working through needs and wants to budding relationship. Moore is playing with his range, improving his skills.
I’m going to his next story, as it will be different, again.
