There’s something about a nerd/jock romance that never gets old, especially when both characters are forced to look beyond first impressions. Asking for Trouble by Alex McAnders does exactly that. As the second book in the Snow Tip Falls series, this M/M sports romance follows Nero, a football player whose future is under the spotlight, and Kendall, an aspiring counselor who has every reason to distrust athletes. Their lives become intertwined through mandatory counseling sessions, creating a relationship that begins with assumptions and slowly grows into something much more meaningful.
What I enjoyed most is how the story balances humor, vulnerability, and personal growth. Beneath the football backdrop is a romance about challenging old beliefs, learning to trust again, and realizing that people are rarely as simple as they first appear. If you’re looking for a sports romance with plenty of heart, engaging chemistry, and characters who genuinely grow together, Asking for Trouble is a great addition to your reading list.
