Some romances have chemistry from the first page, and Only for the Camera by Jenny Pineapple certainly knows how to turn up the heat. As the fourth book in the Station Thirteen series, this M/M romance novella combines attraction, complicated feelings, and the kind of chemistry that makes it very easy to keep reading. What I enjoyed most is the way the story plays with the difference between what happens in front of the camera and what happens when the cameras are turned off. There’s something delicious about characters who have to figure out whether the connection they’re showing the world is only an act, or whether there’s something much more genuine underneath it.
Pineapple keeps the story moving while giving the characters enough emotional space to make their attraction feel meaningful rather than purely physical. That balance between heat and heart is what makes a short romance work for me. If you’re looking for a spicy M/M romance novella with chemistry, emotional tension, and a little behind-the-scenes intrigue, Only for the Camera is definitely worth adding to your reading list.
