Weekend Wrap: A Seattle Seafair 🎑

During the weekend, I headed down to Seattle’s waterfront to spend part of the day enjoying Seafair, one of those traditions that reminds me why summer in the Pacific Northwest is unlike anywhere else. The city seemed to come alive from the moment I arrived. The waterfront was filled with people soaking up the sunshine, families strolling along the piers, live music drifting through the air, and boats of every size moving across Elliott Bay. It felt like the entire city had decided to spend the weekend outside. I wandered without much of a plan, which is usually when I have the best adventures.

There were moments that made me stop just to take it all in: sailboats catching the afternoon breeze, street performers drawing applause from passing crowds, and the familiar sound of seagulls circling overhead as ferries made their way across the bay. As a writer, places like this are impossible not to love. Every person has a story. Every conversation overheard while waiting for coffee sparks another idea. Every smile, every reunion, every quiet moment overlooking the water becomes another reminder that the best characters are inspired by real life. By late afternoon, I found a quiet place to sit near the shoreline and simply watched the city move around me. Seattle has always had a way of balancing energy with calm, and Seafair somehow captures both at once. Another Seattle summer weekend well spent.
