Saturday gave me one of those rare, crystalline days that you donβt want to waste staring at a screen. So I threw the kayak on the Jeep roof and headed north, chasing the tide to Deception Pass. Paddling under that bridge never gets old. The current pulls like it knows your secrets, and every stroke feels earned. I launched early from Bowman Bay, sun already warming the salt air, and paddled until my arms ached and my mind emptied.
Sometimes itβs not about escaping the city β itβs about resetting something inside you. I didnβt check my phone once out there. Just listened to the water, felt the breeze on my neck, and let the moment carry me. Back in Seattle now, a little sunburned, a lot sore, and 100% recharged.
