This weekend, I decided it was time to swap the constant hum of city life for something simpler, something real. I packed my boots, a notebook, and a restless spirit, and headed to Twin Falls Trail near North Bend. The forest greeted me with open arms: towering evergreens that whispered overhead, the earthy perfume of damp moss and cedar, and a narrow, winding path that felt like it had been carved just for me.
Every step brought a new breath of peaceβand the promise of something beautiful just beyond the bend. Standing at the base of the falls, with the spray misting my skin and the roar drowning out all the noise I’d carried with me, I remembered why these escapes matter. We all need places where we can just beβto listen, to breathe, to refill the well. This weekend, nature wrote the perfect story.
