Weekend Wrap: Fourth of July in Seattle πŸŽ†

During the weekend, I spent a little less time on my phone and a little more time simply enjoying the Fourth of July, which explains why this Weekend Wrap is arriving a day later than usual. Honestly, I think I needed it. Seattle showed off this weekend. Sunshine, blue skies, warm temperatures, and one of those summer evenings that reminds you exactly why people fall in love with this city. I spent the holiday along the waterfront, watching boats drift across the water as everyone settled in for the fireworks.

When the sky finally lit up, it felt like the whole city paused together. The reflections danced across the water, cheers echoed around the shoreline, and for a few minutes nothing else seemed to matter except enjoying the moment with everyone around me.

As someone who’s constantly writing, planning, or thinking about the next story, it was nice to let this one belong entirely to the weekend before sitting down to write about it. Sometimes the best memories happen when the phone stays in your pocket. I hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July filled with good company, good food, and a little time outside. Happy Fourth, even if I’m a day late saying it.
