Seattle turned on the sunshine this weekend, and I took full advantage of it with a relaxing kayaking trip around Green Lake. Paddle in one hand, leash in the other—Alex and I glided through peaceful water, soaking up blue skies and that unbeatable Pacific Northwest summer energy.
The lake was alive with laughter—families on paddleboards, picnics along the shoreline, and kids splashing near the docks. But somehow, even with the buzz, there were quiet pockets where it felt like it was just me, the water, and the soft pant of my favorite adventure buddy.
Green Lake never disappoints: wide open views, just the right amount of activity, and a dog-friendly trail to stretch our legs afterward. It’s these simple, slow-summer moments that recharge me the most. 🌿
