During the weekend, I headed to Seattle Center for Panda Fest, and apparently I was in the mood to eat my way through Asia. There was food everywhere. Dumplings. Bao. Noodles. Skewers. Desserts. Drinks. And yes, I tried more than I probably needed to. The festival brought together Asian street food, specialty vendors, art, cultural experiences, and live performances, so there was plenty to wander through between bites. I may have arrived thinking I’d just grab lunch and walk around for an hour. Several hours later, I was still there. That’s usually how these things go.
I found a few interesting handmade items, listened to some live performances, took approximately a ridiculous number of photos, and somehow ended up standing next to a 15-foot inflatable panda. Naturally, I took a picture. Seattle weekends don’t always need a trail, a kayak, or a mountain. Sometimes you just need good food, something interesting to look at, and a giant panda. I’d say this one delivered.
