Weekend Wrap: Rattlesnake Ledge Hike 🌲

During the weekend, I headed east of Seattle and climbed up to Rattlesnake Ledge, chasing that early spring mix of cool air and clear views.

The trail wound through quiet forest at first, the kind where your footsteps soften and everything slows down. It’s a steady climb, nothing rushed, just enough elevation to remind you you’re working for the view. By the time the trees opened up, the lake stretched out below in that calm, reflective way that makes you stop talking and just take it in.

Spring hadn’t fully settled in yet, but you could feel it. The light was softer, the air lighter, and the horizon carried that sense of something shifting. I stayed longer than I meant to, sitting near the edge, letting the wind and silence do their work.

The hike down always feels different, quieter somehow. Like you’ve left something behind at the top.
